I’ve seen these kinds of posts plenty around the blogosphere, but this one in particular was inspired by Lauren (of Bookmark Lit) when she did a post looking at various parts of her iPhone to show off what she’d been doing lately. Well, I need to do some more posting around here, so why not look at my phone to give you a look at what’s going on with me lately…
And, as you can see from the dates and such, it took me a little while to get around to writing up and posting this – that’s pretty par for the course with me.
Lock and Home Screens
I tend to change my lock and home screens seasonally, so right now, I have a summery lock screen that makes me want to jump in the ocean or something, even though I’m not the type of person who goes swimming much. I’ve used this image before, but The Lion King picture was a new one for me – it just feels summery with the great sky, plus the childhood wonderfulness of it all.
I also rearranged my apps a while ago so that they fit into a few categories so that I could see my home screen image better. Who would want to cover those glorious characters? I wish I remembered where I got the picture, though – I think the water picture was on my iPhone already, but I know I got Simba and Rafiki from the internet – whoever made it, thank you and keep up the good work!
Weather and Most Used Apps
I covered the name of my town because privacy, but this is a glimpse at the weather here last week – lots of rain and heat. I normally check the weather in the morning when I’m working, especially when it comes to what kinds of shoes I should wear, but during the summer, I don’t pay that much attention. And, as you can see, I have a lot of cities saved, including some foreign cities from when my sister was studying abroad. I should delete them, but that sounds like too much work.
And here are the apps I use the most – my (adult) cousin introduced me to Disney Emoji Blitz last fall and I’ve been playing it ever since. That’s the main thing I do when I’m on my phone, really – the little Disney emoji characters are just so adorable!
Pictures and Music
I put a star on top of a picture of a former student, but otherwise, these were the latest pictures I had taken at the beginning of July – you can see that I was trying to get back into bookstagram, as well as some pictures from my vacation and an anti-family-separation rally I went to, as well as a picture from when I went to see the fantastic Incredibles 2 (and I just realized that I forgot to mention that in my monthly rewind – shame on me). I don’t take a ton of pictures, but I still have a lot of random stuff in there – I need to clean it up more often.
And finally, here’s some of the latest music I got – I bought Bea Miller’s latest album even though I normally just buy random songs instead of the full thing, as well as some assorted songs, like more awesome Kesha and the girl power anthem “Fight Like a Girl.”
It was interesting to look at different parts of my phone and see how they reflected me, so I think I’ll probably do this again sometime in the future.
